Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Mourning Dove Doula Services LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.
2. Services Offered
We provide non-medical support for individuals and families during palliative care, hospice care, and bereavement. Services may include environmental support, emotional support, informational resources, and guidance in navigating the end-of-life process.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to book our services. By booking, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement.
4. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
1. Providing accurate and complete information about their needs and circumstances
2. Communicating openly with their doula and notifying us of changes
3. Ensuring a safe environment for in-person visits
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept cash, Venmo, and PayPal. For in-person consultations, a PayPal invoice will be sent shortly after submitting a booking request.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations or reschedule requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations may result in forfeiture of payment. Refunds, if applicable, are at our sole discretion.
7. Confidentiality
We respect your privacy. All client information will be kept confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or is necessary for the provision of services.
8. Non-Medical Disclaimer
Our services are supportive in nature. We do not provide medical, legal, or financial advice. Our services are not a substitute for licensed professional care. Always consult with appropriate professionals for medical or legal needs.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mourning Dove Doula Services LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
10. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to decline or terminate services at our discretion, including but not limited to situations involving unsafe conditions or inappropriate conduct.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on our website with an effective date.
