Hi, I’m Liz
I am a certified End-of-Life Doula (Death Doula) with a proficiency micro-credential awarded by the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA). In addition to my doula work, I bring more than a decade of healthcare leadership experience, currently as a Senior Revenue Integrity Analyst at Northwestern Medicine as of November 2025. My work across both clinical and administrative spaces has deepened my commitment to advocating for compassion, dignity, and clarity in care.
My journey into end-of-life care began in my early twenties, when I helped care for my grandmother during hospice. Supporting her alongside my mother gave me firsthand insight into the challenges and gifts of caregiving. I also witnessed how simple acts—like a nurse painting my grandmother’s nails—brought her profound comfort and joy. That experience continues to guide the way I approach this work: with presence, empathy, and a deep respect for the individual’s wishes.
Outside of my professional life, I am a proud mom of three boys and live with my family in Oakland County. We share our home with Isla, our two-year-old Great Pyrenees mix, who loves hiking with us. I find joy in puzzles, birdwatching, exploring nature, and trying to keep up with more podcasts and books than I can count.
As a doula, I provide education on the dying process, emotional and spiritual support for patients and families, and advocacy to ensure transitions are met with peace and dignity. My role is to help ease uncertainty, hold space for grief, and gently walk alongside families during one of life’s most misunderstood moments.
It would be an honor to support you or your loved one, offering presence, compassion, and guidance through this sacred transition.
Peace,
Liz
